Create an eco friendly coconut bowl candle from a real coconut shell with our Coconut Bowl Candle Making Kit.
Materials
All the materials below can be found in our Coconut Bowl Candle Making Kit. No guess work needed!
- coconut bowl
- soy wax
- wicks
- wick stickers
- fragrance oil
- stirring stick

Step 1 - Prep the Shell
Apply the safety sticker to the bottom of the coconut shell. Apply the wick stickers to the wick tabs and place the wicks into the shell, spaced evenly.
Step 2 - Melt the Wax
Melt the soy wax using the double boiler method. Simply fill a pot with water half way and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Add the soy wax to a heat proof jar such as a metal pitcher or glass measuring cup and place it into the simmering water to melt.
Once the wax is melted, remove it from the heat and stir in the fragrance oil ensuring it is well combined with the wax. Allow the scented wax to cool for around 5 minutes, aiming for a temperature of 50-55 degrees if you have a thermometer handy.
Step 3 - Pour the Wax
Slowly pour the melted wax into the coconut shell. Allow the coconut bowl candle to set for 24 hours before trimming the wicks. Enjoy your candle as a decorative piece in your home or lit.
Hot Tip
Once the candle is finished burning, clean our any residual wax and reuse the coconut shell to store your jewellery, keys, crystals or other items. This looks great styled on a console table, bedside table or even coffee table.
